Terms & privacy (draft)

The game

• Naija Area is a game for adults (18+). You confirm your age yourself when you sign up; stronger checks come before launch.
• All ₦ in the game is pretend money with no cash value. It cannot be cashed out. "Test top-up" gives fake money and takes no payment.
• Be decent: no hate, harassment, or sexual content. Names, chat and house names are filtered, and we may remove them and suspend accounts.

What we store

• Your username, a hashed password (we cannot read it), your game progress, and chat messages near you (kept briefly).
• A hashed network address to limit abuse. We do not store your raw IP address in the game database.
• A session cookie to keep you signed in. No ad-tracking cookies. Advertisers never receive personal data, only counts.

Advertisers

Ads are reviewed before going live. Restricted categories (betting, alcohol, politics, loans, etc.) need extra review and paperwork. We can take any ad down. Counting rules are on the methodology page.

Contact & deletion

Test build: contact the developer who gave you the link. A self-serve "delete my account" and a data-protection contact will be added before launch (NDPA 2023 compliance work is listed in the project docs).
